Went out to catalina to go spearfishing. we got there first night arrived at bait grounds for 6 people we had a total of 16 chances to land fish unfortunally we only landed 2 fish one yellowtail 36lbs and one whiteseabass 22lbs. fish were hooked from 4 am-7am. later we moved into the beach and fished hard all day and then about 5:30pm we hooked are first fish nice seabass about 24lbs and from then on it went flat wide open untell we decided we had are fun after catching limits and releasing over 10 fish the biggest fish was 30lbs. but also 2 fish were hooked that were a little bit bigger fish so bring some heaver tackle. but i did manage to get about a 2 hour dive during the day i had one chance on a 25lber but the kelp was think and i rushed the shot and ended up spooking it.
